Gorgeous Sicily villa fully immersed in a forest, overlooking the Ionian sea. There are 4 double bedrooms, a twin and a familiar with a double bed and a single bed. Each bedroom with en-suite. Astonishing the view from the two living rooms: the blue ocean is facing in front of you ! The kitchen has two marble table, ideal for cooking. The exterior, more than 2 hectares of land, shows many lovely corners. The infinity pool is just in front the main façade of the villa and here you can find a solarium with many deckchairs and a gazebo with a lounge. But it’s impossible to describe the entire property without missing something. Pictures, maybe, will better show our abode that is located in the eastern slope of the Etna park.
Bedrooms (6) and Bathrooms (5): a familiar (double and two singles) with en-suite (shower) on the ground floor; a double with en-suite (shower) on the ground floor; a double with en-suite (bathub) on the ground floor; a double with en-suite (shower) on the ground floor; a twin with en-suite (bathub) on the ground floor; a double with en-suite (shower) on the first floor
MAMMA'S ANGELS TIP (by Luca, who will welcome you at this villa): Piazza Sant'Alfio in Trecastagni, is one of my favourite place where to read a book. This villa is very big and the she-owner a bit crazy! But a very nice and friendly person. Write Luca if you need more tips (fill the form on the right)

Closest Market: 1 km - Closest restaurant: 1 km - Closest Piazza (or center): 1 km
Trecastagni is one of the nicest town in Etna district, renowned for its aristocratic architecture.
There are many wonderful palaces built with the lava stone in a refined Baroque style.
Calm and serenity are the characteristics of this beautiful village.
Piazza Marconi (photo) is the heart of Trecastagni where you can spend lovely moments sat in a bench, walking through the fountains and the flower beds or having a gelato in one of the many cafè around the piazza.
Through the characteristic narrow alleys, I suggest you to have a walk until arrive to the mother church San Nicola, where you can enjoy a gorgeous view of the Ionian coast.
Five kilometers away from Trecastagni here it is Nicolosi, another nice Etna village with a vivid lifestyle: restaurants, pizzerie, cafe ...
We are in the eastern side of Sicily, the homeland of Etna (photo) volcano that with its inactive volcanoes (the sons of Etna), caves, forests, lava grounds … lasts about 10 km
I suggest you to enjoy our Etna tour
Catania is10 km's away. I suggest you to park the car in Piazza Alcalà than have a walk: let's start from the worldwide famous Pescheria (photo, outdoor fish market), then to Piazza Duomo (the hearth of Catania) and from it take the Via Etnea, the main street of the town, a pedestrian walking full of shops, cafe and wonderful buldings in Baroque style. Let's walk for about a kilometer, visiting the Roman amphitheatre (in Piazza Stesicoro) until arrive to the Villa Bellini (Catania's public garden).
The Playa (beach) lasts 10 km’s and is close by Piazza Duomo. In this area there are many lido (private beaches where you can rent umbrellas, deckchairs, have a meal in a cafe ...) and I suggest you to enjoy the Lido Verde, partner of MammaSicily.
Other places worth a visit are Acitrezza and Acicastello (5 km’s), both fishermen hamlets, where lava flow of millenia ago has modelled the landscape: in Acicastello you can find a stunning castle in lava stone overhanging the sea and in Acitrezza the Faraglioni (sea stacks).
Taormina, the pearl of Sicily, is almost 30 km’s away: it’s a magic place with the amazing Isolabella and its narrow streets rich in history, a sort of vintage atmosphere and fashion: cool!
Siracusa (Unesco’s), and its Greek masterpieces it’s almost 60 km’s away. In the picture you can see the gorgeous theatre.
Another tips is the visit of Pantalica (Unesco’s), with its more than 3000 graves carved on the rock, a river, a forest and a sort of mistery all around.
At a glance: Acireale (Baroque style, 5 km), Savoca (The Godfather movie spot, 40 km), Brucoli (sea village, 40 km), Megara Ibla (archaeology, 50 km), Randazzo (nice town, 40 km), Giardini Naxos (sea, 30 km), Cavagrande del Cassibile (nature, 60 km).
Its time to eat something and my tip is to do not miss the Pasta alla Norma and to have, at least once, a typical Sicilian breakfast: granita and brioche!
Of course, we suggest you to enjoy our Silvana's Cooking Class, just few kilometers away from the villa.
And, of course, fish, fish, fish … and visit the outdoor fish markets (Riposto, Acitrezza, Catania).
