Panoramic Sicily villa in Taormina,a stone’s throw from the sea. This villa spreads over one level of about 70 sqm. It consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, one large kitchen and a salon. The first room is a double bedroom with a wrought iron bed, night tables,a cabinet and air conditioning; it’s very bright with 2 windows, one viewing the garden and the other one the beach of Giardini Naxos. The second room is a single bedroom with night table, a cabinet and air conditioning, a window viewing the garden. The last room is a double bedroom with night tables, cabinet and air conditioning; the window views the garden. The bathrooms have the showers, and in one you can find the washing machine, too. In the salon there’s a sofa bed, air conditioning, tv and radio. The exterior of the villa presents a beautiful garden, with a plenty of Sicilian typical plants: bouganvillea, roses, basil, lemontrees, grapes … just outside the main entrance is located a table where you can have your “al fresco” dining, and two lazy chairs on which you can take your “tintarella” enjoying your peace and privacy.

The pearl of Sicily, one of the worldwide masterpieces of beauty: here it is Taormina, an evergreen location that has attracted people since the ancient times. Archaeology, mith, a sort of Arab architecture, amazing landscapes, a blu sea, and such a nobless atmosphere, gives Taormina a unique charm. A walk in Via del Corso is an unforgettable moment to do not miss among exclusive shops, delicious restaurants and coffe, stunning views of the sea, the Greek theatre, the terrifying sagoma of Etna volcano on the background … and those tireless viveur of this town.
Few kilometers from the dowtonwn, here it is one of the most beautiful place in the world: Taormina mare (Mazzarò, Spisone, Isolabella), with so many lido where one can eat close by the sea.
Other two great locations (very good for fisheries and beaches), are Letoyanni and Giardini Naxos, the latter with the ruins of Naxos, the first settlement founded by Greeks (VIII b.C.).
Taormina is located in a sort of staircase, with the sea at the bottom, Taormina in the middle and the nice Castelmola (3 km’s) on the top. Upper Castelmola you could visit Monte Venere, where once, maybe, there was a temple devoted to Aphrodite and from where, presently, one can enjoy a great panorama of the oriental coast of Sicily, mount Etna and the italian mainland, just in front.
Facing Taormina here it is Forza d’Agrò (10 km’s), another beautiful place (visit the old cemetery) amd Savoca (20 km’s), both renowned to have been the main spot of the movie The Godfather.
Catania is almost 30 km’s away.
The giant of Sicily, Etna volcano, almost 40 km’s.
Syracuse, the strongest town of the past (VI bb.C.) almost 90 km’s.
For nature lovers I have two suggestions: Monte Scuderi (30 km’s) and, for birdwatchers, Dinnammare (50 km’s) a bottle-neck, I mean one of the few places all over the world where to observe the migration of birds of prey.
Now it’s time for my wife, the chef Silvana and her tips.
“Ciao, this is Silvana, and my menu, if you are in Taormina, is the following: Octopus salade, risotto (rice) alla marinara, pesce spada (swordfish) alla griglia (grilled), lemon ice cream. Also, have a meal by Lido Re del Sole: great place, refined cuisine”
