This Sicily villa in Catania area, with a gorgeous view both of Ionian coast and Etna volcano, is located in Scillichenti, a suggestive fisherman village in the eastern side of Sicily. The villa shows a well-tended and blooming garden where stands the pool area. You can also find a patio overlooking the ocean and a BBQ area. The interior is clean and new. We find a very spacious living area, a fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms with shower, two double bedrooms, and a twin. Letizia, the she-owner, told us to let you know that she will welcome you with organic products grown in her countryside. Great holidays to Sicily!

MAMMA’S ANGELS TIP: Giovanni (who will welcome you at this villa): “In Scillichenti, in the evening, just seat in the little square and have a pane cunzatu food”

Closest Market: 1 km - Closest restaurant: 1 km - Closest Piazza (or center): 1 km
Acireale (photo) lies in a bizarre position, just on the top of a giant lava rock called Timpa. The heart of Acireale is the wonderful Piazza Duomo just a stone's throw from the renowned outdoor fish market. If you have a car, take one of the most stunning Sicilian roads, the SP2 (take it by Bellavista bar), that will lead you to the nice fishermen hamlets of Santa Maria La Scala, Santa Tecla, Stazzo ... ideal for a bath or for a good meal. The roman bath of Santa Venera al pozzo are just in the southern slope of Acireale: worth a visit. Just 5 kilometers away we can find other two great places: Acitrezza and Acicastello, with its Faraglioni (sea stacks).
We are in the eastern side of Sicily, and two masterpieces dominate the landscapes; the sea and Etna volcano, joined by something bigger than them: the blue Sicilian sky!
Etna Park (Unesco’s), with its inactive volcanos (the sons of Etna), caves, forests, lava grounds … lasts 10 km’s
I suggest you to enjoy our Etna tour, the most requested in Sicily.
Catania, lasts 10 km’s.
You can't missm in this town, the visit to the fishmarket in Piazza Duomo and the walking from this piazza along the via Etnea (photo)
The Playa (beaches) too lasts 10 km’s.
Taormina, the pearl of Sicily, is almost 30 km’s away: it’s a magic place with the amazing Isolabella and its narrow streets rich in history, a sort of vintage atmosphere and fashion: cool!
Siracusa (Unesco’s), and its Greek masterpieces it’s almost 60 km’s away.
Another tips is the visit of Pantalica (Unesco’s), with its more than 3000 graves carved on the rock, a river, a forest and a sort of mystery all around.
At a glance: Acireale (Baroque style, 5 km), Savoca (The Godfather movie’s spot, 40 km), Brucoli (sea, 40 km), Megara Ibla (archaeology, 40 km), Randazzo (40 km), Giardini Naxos (sea, 30 km), Cavagrande del Cassibile (nature, 60 km)
Its time to eat something and my tipi s to do not miss the Pasta alla Norma and to have, at least once, a typical Sicilian breakfast: granita and brioche!
And, of course, fish, fish, fish … and visit the outdoor fish markets (Riposto, Acitrezza, Catania).
Ops ...! My wife Cooking Class (photo) is just 5 kms away!
