Caltagirone, charming and ancient town, aristocratic and elegant with its palaces in Baroque style (Unesco’s), its eighteenth century churches and its “carruggi”, small alleys among the streets.
From the shop windows you can admire elegant terracotta figurines and tiles of majolica, colored with a glittering blue and emerald green, masterpieces of the ancient ceramic art teachers.
You will be catapulted in an atmosphere full of suggestions and artistic beauty, you can enjoy a holiday immersed in art, culture and good food, enjoying Sicilian tradition foods in comfortable restaurants.
Another important feature is the fact that Caltagirone is in the center of many art-filled towns, pleasantly and easily reachable within minutes: Piazza Armerina (Unesco’s) 20 km’s, Gela 30 km’s, Agrigento (Unesco’s) 80 km’s.
