A kilometre away from the centre of Carini, in an exclusive area, stands this amazing house, with a stunning view of the sea. Mamma Maria is immersed in a typical Mediterranean olive grow and spreads on two levels. All the rooms are bright and spacious and accurately refined. On the ground floor we have: the fully equipped kitchen with a dining room facing the garden; the magnificent round living room, elegant, comfortable, and with a wall of windows facing the pool area and with a gorgeous panorama on the sea; the master bedroom with ensuite; a double bedroom and a twin; other two bathrooms. A fashionable staircase leads to the first floor where we have a nice indoor terrace overlooking the living room, with pool table, treadmill (“tapis roulant”), table-football and home gym; a double bedroom and a bathroom. All the bedrooms are provided with AC and television. The exterior of the house is full of romantic corners, an outdoor kitchen with BBQ, and the relaxing pool area with a super view on the Mediterranean Sea, the latter 4 kms away.

We are in Carini a nice town famous for its wonderful castle and the dramatic story of one of its dweller: Laura Lanza di Trabia (la Baronessa di Carini)

Carini is 5 kms from the sandy beach, where you can find many amenities as lido (private bath establishments), restaurants, bars…

All around the area there are gorgeous beaches (photo, Capaci beach, 3 kms from the house) for your Sicilian swimming.

 

Palermo the capital of Sicily, with its gorgeous monuments, markets, beaches and street food is just 10 kms away.

Palermo is actually one of the most beautiful and peculiar towns in the world.

There is a nice naturalistic reserve, just by the sea, at Caporama (10 kms).

Why not spend a day outdoor visiting the Unesco's Valley of the Temples (photo) in Agrigento: less than 100 kms and you will be there.

70 kms and there it is the medieval town of Cefalù worldwide famous for its monuments as the XII century Cattedrale, the castles and an enigmatic temple on the rock that overlooks the town, the Ancient Roman baths, the Osterio Magno palace, the Museo Mandralisca with a collection of paintings, archeological finds... and other highlights that you can discover strolling the narrow alleys of this wonderful town.

We suggest you to pay a visit to the following places: Naturalistic reserve of Zingaro (with its beathtaking coves, photo) and Scopello village (both at about 50kms); Trapani and the medieval, wonderful Erice (60 kms); Capo Gallo naturalistic reserve (15kms)

The villa is located in a strategic position, 4 kms from the motorway and  the airport is less than 10 kms away.

Do not miss a visit to one of the renowned Palermo's outdoor market (Ballarò, Capo).

Abbiamo soggiornato a Villa Mamma Maria e siamo rimasti davvero molto soddisfatti. La casa bellissima, curata in ogni dettaglio e soprattutto pulitissima. Gli spazi esterni sono meravigliosi e tenuti con grande cura, con un bel panorama e sullo sfondo una piacevole vista sul mare. Gli ambienti interni sono spaziosi, le camere confortevoli e i bagni molto puliti. La cucina esterna particolarmente pratica e permette di vivere al meglio gli spazi all'aperto. La casa inoltre dotata di tutto quello che serve per trascorrere comodamente il soggiorno. La piscina un altro punto di forza: bella, pulita e ben tenuta. Non certo pensata per fare grandi nuotate, ma più che sufficiente per rinfrescarsi, rilassarsi e godersi le giornate, e rappresenta sicuramente un importante valore aggiunto della villa. I proprietari, che abitano nelle vicinanze, sono stati molto gentili e disponibili e ci hanno fatto sentire ben accolti. La loro vicinanza può rappresentare forse un piccolo svantaggio per chi cerca la massima privacy, ma non si può dire che rappresenti un problema. La villa si trova in collina, quindi non la soluzione ideale per chi cerca una casa vicina al mare, anche perché la strada per raggiungerla non è agevolissima. La posizione, però permette di godere del fresco della collina (e in questo periodo di forte caldo ci ha rigenerati) e di un panorama davvero piacevole, con la vista sul mare che rende l'ambiente ancora più suggestivo. La consigliamo vivamente. (We stayed at Villa Mamma Maria and were truly very satisfied. The house is beautiful, with attention to every detail, and above all, spotlessly clean. The outdoor areas are wonderful and maintained with great care, offering a beautiful panorama and a pleasant view of the sea in the background. The interior spaces are spacious, the bedrooms are comfortable, and the bathrooms are very clean. The outdoor kitchen is particularly practical and allows you to make the most of the outdoor spaces. The house is also equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The pool is another highlight: beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. It’s certainly not designed for long swims, but it’s more than enough to cool off, relax, and enjoy the days, and it definitely adds significant value to the villa. The owners, who live nearby, were very kind and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Their proximity might be a slight drawback for those seeking complete privacy, but it’s hardly a problem. The villa is located in the hills, so it’s not the ideal choice for those looking for a home near the sea, especially since the road leading to it isn’t the easiest to navigate. However, the location allows you to enjoy the cool hill air (which was truly refreshing during this heat wave) and a truly pleasant view, with the sea in the distance making the setting even more picturesque. We highly recommend it.)

This villa was a such a beautiful location for our holiday (4 x adults / 3 x children (aged 9-13). It had plenty of room for us all to both be sociable and to find quiet spaces. The views of the mountains in the background and the coast in the foreground were simply stunning. The rooms we all large, comfortable and well appointed and Maria and Giuseppe were very responsive and helpful when we needed any help, support or recommendations. It was not possible to walk anywhere from the house, due to its steep location and lack of any pavements in the area so a hire car is essential if visiting this part of Sicily.

We had a fantastic time at Mamma Maria and beautiful holidays, the house is very comfortable well equiped for our family (2 adults and 3 grown up children), the pool is so nice, the incredible garden offers a lot of possibilities to relax . The perfect situation permits to live outside all day long, with a stunning view of the sea and Carini region. The localisation of the house permits lots of activities and visits all around. Mariangela and Giuseppe are so kind and helpful whatever you need and they give good advices . We can recommand this wounderful house and we are looking forward to come back soon. We were a family of 6 (parents, 3 adult children + daughter in law + 1 year old grandchild) and had a wonderful time at this really beautiful villa - so full of character, with stunning views to the sea and nearby mountains and a very lush garden. Very well equipped and lots of details made it special such as the different and varied seating areas outside to relax and the evening lights in the garden. It was really peaceful as it's up away from the centre of Carini but you do need a car. Everywhere was very clean and all the bedrooms are very spacious and well furnished - very comfortable beds and AC if you need it. We ate in the outside BBQ/kitchen area every day and the games room/outdoor ping pong table were a definite plus for the young ones. Beautiful pool as well which was lovely and warm and kept clean (with plenty of inflatables!). The owners were very friendly, helpful and attentive without being intrusive and provided some unexpected extra touches which made the whole holiday even more special. Would definitely recommend this villa and would love to come again. Grazie mille Mariangela e Giuseppe!

We stayed at this lovely Villa with our 2 teenagers. Even our teenagers said it was one of the best we have stayed in. Mariangela was such a lovely, thoughtful host who went out of her way to make our stay comfortable and offer lots of advice and tips on outings. The home has everything you need and more! We all loved the different seating areas around the garden and the hammocks and lights in the garden! The upstairs pool table and foosball were a huge hit with all of us. It’s activities like this where you can all enjoy each others company that make it all the more enjoyable with your family! The outside BBQ area is lovely and we used this quite often. You do need a car to get around to visit all the sights and beaches etc - but it’s all very manageable and accessible. I would definitely recommend this Villa - you won’t be disappointed!

A wonderful place, very nice treatment of the landlord, we got help with what is needed and extra, including recommendation on activities, nice restaurants and etc. The house is much fresher and nicer than what is shown in the pictures. We stayed at villa mamma Maria (7 adults) to attend my daughter’s wedding. It’s an absolute gem of a villa with everything you need. Set in a beautiful area within a gorgeous garden with fantastic views towards the sea in front and mountains to the side . Plenty of room for all of us with plenty of seating inside and out. We sat outside most of the time to eat as it was so nice. Didn’t use the pool as it was April when we were there but I’m sure if we’d have been there June/July time we would have made use of it. The hosts for this villa were a lovely couple who helped us out a couple of times during our stay. Like other people have stated you do need a car as it’s too far up hill to walk if you want to get shopping in or go out for meal. I would definitely recommend this gorgeous villa to anyone if they were visiting Sicily.

Our stay at this villa in Carini was amazing. Mariangela and Giuseppe greeted us on arrival and walked us through their beautiful home. The villa was immaculate and beautifully furnished. Everything we needed was right at our fingertips, including an espresso machine. The outdoors overlooked the sea and mountains with abundant furnishings to relax. The hosts couldn’t have been kinder providing us with recommendations on places to visit and very good restaurants. Would recommend this villa to anyone who wants a scenic, peaceful vacation home in lovely Sicily.

Our stay at Villa Mamma Maria was wonderful. The villa lacks nothing, it is well-equipped, and the hosts were extremely helpful. They responded to all our messages immediately and helped us several times during our stay. The house is beautiful, and everything matched the description. Our small children had plenty of activities and enjoyed their time immensely. We will definitely return!

Wonderful home and wonderful family who owns it! Our kids enjoyed the pool especially during the hot time of the year we stayed here. The home is located in a part of Carini where you do have to drive to places, so I recommend renting a car or making sure to get a driver for your excursions if you are not comfortable driving in Italy. We did multiple events through Mamma Sicily their affiliate tourism company and were happy, specifically with the boat tour that took us to Favignana island. Overall, a very enjoyable experience and we were appreciative of the hospitality their family showed ours. Grazie mille!

We had an overall pleasant stay at the beautiful home of Mamma Maria. The house is so beautiful and the pool and the garden been a sweet relief on hot days. The bathrooms been very clean as well as the bedrooms. They checked on us via WhatsApp to make sure we have everything and we’re happy. We could reach out to them if we needed something. They’ve been very helpful and gave us some tips where to eat out and even helped us on our first night to order some food. It was such a wonderful stay. Thanks so much for having us.

This Home was just amazing. I definitively recommend This Villa. We were 4 adults with 5 Kids (all between 1 and 5 years old). Due to the pool and the very nice designed garden it was not really necessary to leave the house. Just to pick up some Food :-) The overhand was uncomplicated and the house owner are super friendly! If you have a car everything is closed by.

We had an amazing week at this house. It was huge, beautifully decorated, very charming and very well equipped. The outdoor space was phenomenal with incredible views. The hosts were so kind and helpful, even brought toys over for our daughters to play with. The house is only 25 mins from Palermo, and close to lots of great beach destinations. Overall a fantastic week, would love to stay here again!

My family and I stayed at Giuseppe and Maria’s home for an entire month in Sicily last summer. We had such an incredible time. Both Giuseppe and Maria were so warm and welcoming. Maria met us on arrival and showed us the home. The house itself was immaculate. A gorgeous space with plenty of rooms for our three kids and our two nephews. And we did all of our cooking in the outdoor kitchen, which was fully equipped. The location was also perfect for us. As we have family close by, but wanted to be able to stay in a bit more of a secluded area of Carini.

Both Maria and Giuseppe were very attentive. They quickly answered any questions or concerns we had.

We would absolutely go back to this home on our next visit.

Maria et sa famille sont très sympathiques, accueillants et de bon conseil pour visites et restaurants. La villa est magnifique, très bien agencée pour 8 personnes. L'environnement est calme et paisible et le jardin très bien entretenu. Nous avons d'ailleurs vécu à l'extérieur pendant 1 semaine. Tout était parfait.

Home's rules

Minimum stay 5 days (except July and August, 1 week). Changeover day: Saturday (July and August)

The electricity is included up to a consumption of kWh 200 per week. Beyond that limit it will have a cost of € 0,50 per kWh.     

Damage deposit to be paid locally: € 500 to be refunded upon departure

Tourist Tax, if provided, in a range of 1-2 euros per person to pay at the arrival.

Cancellation policy

When the customer cancels a reservation 60 days or more before the arrival date, the customer will be fully refunded.

When the customer cancels a reservation 59 days or less before the arrival date the owner will retain the whole of the paid sums as a cancellation penalty charge.
