The house is located in the western side of Sicily, just 10 km from the medieval town of Cefalù (photo), worldwide famous for its monuments as the XII century Cattedrale, the castles and an enigmatic temple on the rock that overlooks the town, the Ancient Roman baths, the Osterio Magno palace, the Museo Mandralisca with a collection of paintings, archeological finds... and other highlights that you can discover strolling the narrow alleys of this wonderful town.
The main town close to the house is Campofelice di Roccella, just 2 kms away.
Just 5 km and here it is the archeological town of Himera, with the ruins of a temple, a well equipped Antiquarium and the ruins of the 648 B.C. town.
The house stands, even if just 1 km form the sea, in the Madonie mountains area where there are lots of beautiful villages to visit (Petralia, Gangi, Isnello, Geraci...).
The beach, as above mentioned, is just 1 km away.
30 kms and we approach Palermo, the capital of Sicily, with its fascinating monuments, outdoor markets, street food stalls...

The house is 5 kms from the motorway that allows you to explore many areas of the island.
Food speaking, following what we suggest you to taste in this part of Sicily: street food (panelle, stigghiola, meusa, sfincione...); granita with brioche; pasta con sarde (anchioves); cannoli; Mediterranean fish.
