Mamma Gabriella
Villa
The house suddenly appears in the middle of the vegetation and you can smell the scent of Mediterranean scrub. The house is surrounded by a fragrant citrus grove. The villa is spread over one level and consists of two bodies. In the central body we find the sleeping area, while the living area is located in the loft that the owners have transformed diligently, respecting the original character of the pre-existing architecture. In fact, have been preferred combinations of raw and natural materials, such as stone floors, while the ceiling has been maintained in chestnut wood, so you can see a continuity between the interior and exterior environments.
The pool and the patio are perfect to spend pleasant moments of relaxation in the open air.
The sleeping area consists of two double bedrooms, a twin bedroom and a single bedroom. There are two bathrooms with shower.
In the living room, a double sofa bed is present.
A further double bedroom is located in the loft where there is another bathroom with shower.
The nice and essential furniture creates a warm and comfortable environment.
The owners occasionally live in the adjacent house and will be, if guests wish, at their disposal for any advice or primary needs.
The villa and its outdoor spaces are for the exclusive use of guests.
Bedrooms (5) and bathrooms (3): 2 double bedrooms on the ground floor; 1 twin bedroom on the ground floor; 1 single bedroom on the ground floor; 1 double bedroom on the ground floor, in the loft. 2 bathrooms with shower on the ground floor; 1 bathroom with shower on the ground floor, in the loft.

Mamma Barbarina is located in the Western side of Sicily, an area that features many buildings with an arabian style, who reminds us to the Arab rulers of the XI century.
Marsala (mar-allah, the port of Allah), a very nice town, is just 3 kms away and is famous for its Baglio Anselmi museum were you can visit many archeological finds and were is exhibited a Phoenician ship!
In front of Marsala here it is the island of Mozia, gorgeous, with its Phoenician ruins.
You can approach it from the salt work of Marsala.
30 kms North and here it is Trapani, very beautiful and on the top of a rock, the medieval town of Erice.
Trapanai is the best starting point for the Egadi islands, wonderful.
If you are archeological monuments lover, here we have two stunning archeological sites: Segesta and Selinunte both at cc 40 kms away.
One of my favourite places here in Sicily is the Belice valley, a Sicilian magic, were scattered all around you can admire vineyards, ruins of 1968 towns destroyed by an eartquake, and agricultural futuristic village.
Food? Busiate alla Trapanese, Mediterranean fish, Cannoli alla ricotta!
Erice, perched on a rock
