Arab termarium of Cefalà Diana
These spas are one of the few examples left from the Arab period. Beautiful pointed arches embellish this delightful place from the past. The building, with a rectangular plan, was built with three tubs for washing, a beautiful ceiling with vaults, barrels and circular vents for ventilation. The slender and beautiful marble columns form a trilebon, a triple arch of clear Arab origin. The spa was probably constructed around the year 1000. A few niches around the walls stored clothing and cosmetics as well as other items. The outside stone wall, has, what is by now, an almost illegible Arab inscription.
